Curriculum and Instruction develop policies to be offered to the CAE Board for its consideration on matters including but not limited to curriculum, instructional delivery, professional development, graduation, and technology. All academic department chairs are required to serve on this committee.

The English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC) comprises parents, staff, and community members specifically designated to advise school officials on English Learner program services.

The Operations Committee looks at and provides recommendations to the Board on many different aspects of the school's day-to-day operations. Daily bell schedules (in all forms), yearly schedules (start and stop days for a school year), and testing schedules for state testing are several examples. The committee also looks at facilities management and operation (for example, classroom furniture). The committee comprises interested parties representing the major groups on campus (classified staff, certificated staff, out-of-classroom personnel, students, parents, and administration). All recommendations to the Board are based on feedback from the interested groups.

The Student Services Committee aims to develop policies to be offered to the CAE Board for its consideration on matters including but not limited to school safety, security, attendance, and student needs.
